At Livewell, we only sell the best and that's no different when it comes to our great range of riser recliners. Whether it's one of our single motor riser recliners like the Fairfield Riser Recliner, or a dual motor chair such as the Stirling Riser Recliner, all our rise recliner chairs are manufactured through Drive DeVilbiss, one the world's largest providers of riser chairs.
Ordered a rise and recline chair on standard delivery option which was free. First impressions of the chair are very good; it appears well-built and does everything it is meant to, motors are quiet and efficient. It hopefully will make life so much easier for my parents.
Which Riser Recliner Should I Buy?
We provide riser recliner chairs in a range of different styles and finishes to suit all budgets and mobility requirements. Browse online, view our range of electric riser recliners available in leather and fabric and speak to one of our trained advisors if you require additional advice. It is important to make the right choice in chair to suit your needs.
Stay Independent and Safe
Enjoy the flexibility and comfort that our riser recliner chairs can provide. If you choose a single or dual motor chair, both provide more spinal support and ideal for users suffering from poor leg circulation or similar conditions. There is no need to struggle for balance and risk injury falling into the chair as all of our chairs will tilt you gently until you are on your feet.
One great benefit of purchasing a riser recliner chair is the option to recline to a comfortable snooze position. Whilst we do not recommend as a replacement for a bed, our chairs are ideal for a short snooze.
Care and Maintenance
To keep your riser recliner chair in good condition it's important to take care of it. We offer a range of care kits for each type chair, including leather and fabric care kits and staingard kits. Each kit contains a variety of items to ensure that whichever cover you choose for your chair, with regular care, it can be kept looking brand new. On each of our riser recliner pages, you'll find the recommended cleaning product.

A chair at Livewell seemed perfect and I ordered it immediately. It arrived within a few days and I am thrilled. It is well made, with a good quality fabric and the price was amazing. Cheaper than any I had seen previously. I have only had it a day and am enjoying the many choices I have regarding the position of back and leg rests. Thank you!
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between single motor and dual motor?
Single motor riser recliners feature a simple hand control with two buttons – up and down. These are connected to a quiet motor underneath the chair that slowly powers the movement of the riser recliner. The up button will gently raise the chair, gradually elevating you to a standing position, providing an easier exit from the riser recliner. When getting back into the chair, the down button will slowly return you to a level seated position. If you keep the down button pressed, then the footrest will start to raise before the backrest slowly stars to recline you into a fully relaxed position. Simply press and hold the up button to return the chair back to the level seated position. Due to the additional simplicity, a single motor riser recliner can be particularly useful for users with poor memory function or dementia to help reduce confusion when using the chair.
Unlike single motor, our dual motor riser recliners are supplied with a four-button hand control – up and down button for the footrest and backrest. Each connected to their own individual motor, the backrest and footrest can be adjusted individually to give you that extra freedom and independence on what position best suits you. Once the backrest has returned to its normal place, use the backrest up button to raise you to a standing position.
How are your riser recliners delivered?
All our riser recliners are delivered in their original packaging that includes strong internal padding to ensure the parts do not move during transit and delivery, and encased in a durable, heavy-duty outer box. Standard courier delivery includes a kerb-side service to your address but not directly to the front door or into the house. This is typical of heavy-goods couriers due to the item weight and is also provided by many other online mobility retailers to provide customers with a quick delivery option for urgent needs.
Are your riser recliners easy to assemble?
Yes and no; this is always a tough one and entirely down to the delivery environment and personal capability. Our riser recliners are delivered in two pieces; the base and the backrest. The base is the larger, heavier of the two pieces weighing between 40-50kg (88-110lb) – the weight of a two-seater sofa! The backrest is much easier to carry and weighs considerably less, around 5-10kg (11-22lb) – the equivalent to a 12 month-old baby!
Once unpacked, the two pieces slot together by aligning two prongs that simply connect. You don’t need any tools or DIY experience, but we do recommend getting two people to help assemble the chair, which can be done in approximately 15 minutes. We offer a professional assembly service on all our riser recliners if you’re looking to keep things simple and safe – please read below for more details.
Can you remove my old chair?
Yes, please select this option when choosing your delivery options in the checkout under ‘Professional Assembly + Removal’ (additional charge per item applies). Our transport team may request additional details from you when they call to arrange delivery. We understand that the old item may need to be removed first before we can install the replacement so please provide as much information as possible to help us reduce any inconvenience to you on the day of delivery.
What happens if my riser recliner develops a fault?
Get in touch with us as soon as possible – we’re here to help. We know how important your riser recliner is to you and we’re here to ensure that any potential issues are investigated and resolved quickly to minimise any inconvenience. We have a dedicated team of people who can provide hands-on technical support either over the phone or through email. This process can often alleviate many common faults and gets you back up and running as soon as possible. We will need you to be with the riser recliner when you contact us and available to talk through some simple diagnostic questions.
In more severe cases where the issue cannot be resolved remotely, we can instruct a qualified engineer to investigate the issues and aim to provide a resolution on-site. This is covered in your warranty in line with our return’s conditions, dependent upon the age of the chair when the issue is raised.
How long is the warranty on your riser recliners?
We provide a 12-month warranty with all our riser recliners delivered within the UK. In addition to this we also provide a further 12-months on any branded Livewell riser recliner, a total of 2 years. All our riser recliner warranties cover the cost of replacement OEM parts, engineer labour time and callout within the initial period in line with our return’s conditions, dependent upon the age of the chair when the issue is raised.
